Slightly Better

I've just managed to get past the part that I had to keep rewriting and I clearly made sure to save it this time. Plus the one file that I could find on this laptop was saved to my e-mail so when I reach the end the part where I can need it, I will be able to just attach it and don't have to worry about rewriting it. :)

Losing Files

Since one of my classes was cancelled today my 2 hour break turned into a 3.5 hour break. So I decided I would work on my writing. Just a couple days ago I realized two of the files I had loaded off my email seemed to be to short. I could tell there was something missing. So I asked my friend to send me what she had. I was right. I was missing about 22 or so pages off the files I had. Again today I wanted to open one file and its not on this computer again. I'm hoping that I had typed on my old one because then all I need to do is switch the computers its on, but if it's not I will have to rewrite it and I don't think it will end up as good as the first time, because I had the thoughts and feelings in me at the time, which I can't recreate the same way again. The part that I'm working on now I have also lost a couple times. The only problem is I'm only losing part of the file and it always seems to be the same part, and if I'm not mistaken I've rewritten and have lost it three times already. Normally I love writing but having to constantly rewrite the same part over and over again it does get annoying, especially when it isn't your favourite part to be writing over and over. Maybe a Christmas when I was still in the Christmas mood, but not in February when you know your rewriting it, because it doesn't want to stay one your computer.

First Semester Done

Although I do not have any official marks yet I have survived my first semester as a university student. I'm happy knowing that even with all the changes surrounding my life as I began university, that I believe I find myself to still be me. I'm one who easily changes to adapt to my surroundings, but sometimes I find that by doing so I drift away from who I believe I truly am. That is why with everything new this year I wanted to keep myself as me. Although during the school year I put some of the things I do aside for school, when I came to this break I find myself not changed to much from the way I was before and that many of my habits and actions seem familiar which makes me happy. Although I think my family would be happier if I had changed from the girl who loves watching Asian dramas and listening to Asian music... but I don't plan on changing that anytime in the future, it is part of who I am to like it and I can't see myself ever fully forgetting this part of me.

First University Exam

Well my first exam passed without a problem...so far, will know for sure once I know how I actually did on it. I had to fill out my scantron using a pencil that was threating to break at any moment while I was filling in my sheet. The rest had to be written in pen so I didn't have to be careful writing the entire time, other than avoiding mistakes I shouldn't be making. It is hard to write in a small box when you've already scribbled something else in it out once already. I don't think Microsoft Access was made to be added in paper on exams...

I only have four more exams to write and then I will have finished my first semester as a university student. If I finished before ten pm on the 22nd I would've loved it more, but I guess we can't all have our exams end early, or have none at all. I am now destressing from the thought of my first exam before moving on to study for my next one, accounting, managerial accounting since the exam is only based on everything after the midterm.

Not everyone had an amazing first experience, but Nire sure had an interesting one.

I've Mentioned Her Before...

I'm talking about Nire. She is a really good friend of mine. After taking another look at my blog she decided it might be good for her to start one herself. So here to promote her blog is me. :) Nire's blog, The Rantings in Nicheese Hope you all take a look at her blog, as she writes more it should become interesting.

It's Been A While, Yet Again

I have a feeling I should remember to update more often, maybe take a break from watching Asian dramas, which I still find myself addicted to, so that I can update. I find that when I'm updating and writing a post I start thinking, and I'm not someone who thinks to myself alot. Normally I tune out my own thoughts with music and others conversations, even if they don't speak a language I can understand. After all the school work I'm stuck doing I don't feel like reflecting on what I want to do in the future, where I'm going to end up, and how many more similar classes I have to take, and it goes on and on until I reach a point where I wish I had decided to straight into the workforce even if it meant it might be harder to get into the job field that I wanted, becuase to be an accountant you do need the schooling. Especially if you want to reach the level of CA (charted accountant). That is more schooling after I've finished university and gotten my diploma and finished the required amount of work hours experience. That is, if I manage to pass the test to get into the classes I will need to be able to write the test to become a CA.

It is time to stop thinking about that far into the future. Now I need to think about studying, and helping Nire with ITIS again, even if I still don't know what it means, because it is our first exam and takese place on Saturday. I'm shortening my sight into the future so far that I'm not even going to think about the classics exam I have to write December from 7-10pm.

I have four question parts left to do on my ITIS (information technology something something course... I should know the actual name, but yeah... just asked my friend and she doesn't know either, and were in the same class... although on the bright side great minds think alike, we thought of the same totally wrong answer), but my Nire needs help, so I'm trying to help her over msn. It is hard trying to explain what she has to do in excel, especially when it is a function she has to do, the forecasting question is going to be annoying. The one question I feel like I should know what I'm doing, but I don't especially since I have no clue what alpha is in the question, which is important for part of it. The other question, I'm not sure what it is asking but I need to know it to do the following part which I actually understand. It is frustrating to be soooo close to being able to submit it, yet still not able to. I also only have just short of three hours to finish and submit it. Although doing this with technology is easier than doing it by hand, it can be annoying when you also know that it is due on Friday and not Monday because you can submit all the answer online.

I do not think I have ever worried so much about school and assignments as I have done this year. Which is not good for me, because when I begin to worry I reach a point where my eating habits are off and it gets to me that I know what I am doing (or at least am trying my best) and I still make quite a few mistakes.
